Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as gardening, greeting newcomers to preparing the church bulletins.

If you would like to serve in any of these areas, please contact Melissa or Grace in our church office
and we will gladly help get you plugged in.
Please call 856-881-5454.

Adult Sunday School

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM for Adult Sunday School.  We offer a Men's class and a Women's class for adults of all ages.

Audio & Visual Ministry

Our Audio/Visual Ministry is  a group of dedicated individual who are responsible for all audio and visual aspects of weekly services and events.  All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website  in audio format.

Building and Grounds

There are many areas of the building or in our yard that could always use serving hands.  Pulling weeds, picking up the trash, sweeping the sidewalk, anyone skilled in any trade...and so many more.  We welcome anyone that would be willing to serve the Lord by tending to His church.

Food Pantry

Clayton Baptist Church has been blessed by not only our church family but also other members of the Clayton Community's gracious giving.  Many local farms and small businesses have contributed to our pantry as well.  Our Food Pantry is every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Every 1st and 3rd Thursday we offer non-perishable items but every week we offer dairy, breads, meats and sometimes produce.  No appointment is needed to receive from our food pantry.  We welcome anyone from our church body to serve in this vital ministry.  All volunteers, please see the church office for an application.

Meal Ministry

In recent years, our Life Groups have assumed any ministry of meals for their group members, should a life situation develop where lending an extra hand in this way was a help.  Some in our church family are not yet connected to Life Groups but experience trying times where a ministry of meal-making would be truly appreciated and the Deaconess Board would like to compile a list of women (or men) in the church who would be willing to volunteer as meal-makers.

Mom Squad
Mom Squad is a group for mothers of children all ages.  They  meet every second Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM.  From September to May.  Childcare is provided.  All childcare providers must be members and Safe Kids Approved.

Nursery and Children's Ministry

Our Sunday Morning Children's program cannot run without the dedicated group of members who serve our families through childcare and teaching our children about the love of Jesus.  To serve in any of our children/youth ministries, you must be a member of Clayton Baptist Church and Safe Kids Approved with a mandatory background check.  If you are not a member or Safe Kids Approved and would like to serve with the children, please see Pastor Ike to begin the process.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers are praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for our pastors, leadership, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together at 7:00 PM for a special time of prayer.

Ushers and Greeters Ministry
The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction and collecting the offering . Our Greeting Ministry is one of the most vital roles here at Clayton Baptist.  For a visitor, this is the first person they will meet when they walk through our doors.  Our prayer is that each person that comes to Clayton Baptist is greeted with a smile, welcomed with a handshake and shown the love of Jesus.

Van Ministry

Every Sunday morning, a team goes to the Eleanor Corbett House in Aura to pick up families who are currently living in the shelter.  To serve in the ministry you must be a licensed driver and always accompanied by another adult.  Please see the church office for an application.

Worship Team & Choir
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our Worship Team and Choir ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir

Youth Ministry
